Beginner-friendly beach breaks work year round; the point breaks come alive with the bigger autumn and winter swells.
Cooler than the air suggests. A 3/2 wetsuit suits most of the year and we set the thickness for you at the shop.
Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, flip-flops, a light layer for the evening, and a bag you do not mind getting sandy.
Greet people, ask before photographing anyone, and dress modestly away from the beach. In the water: one surfer per wave, and never drop in.
Tagine, grilled fish, mint tea and argan oil from the co-operatives inland. Most places are relaxed about timing — the village runs on the tide.
The village is walkable and the beach is minutes from the shop. We do not provide transport of any kind — guests make their own way to the meeting point.
Refill rather than buy bottles, take your rubbish off the beach, and buy from the village where you can. The coast is small and it notices.
